Panoramic x-ray
Panoramic x-rays provide a fuller view of the the lower two thirds of the face, including all the teeth, jaw bone, sinus, and Temporomandibular joint (TMJ), all in one image. They are often the image of choice for evaluating third molars (wisdom teeth) and implant cases. A panoramic x-ray provides a broader, more complete view for finding pathology such as infections, cysts, and tumors.
